Did I Mention?

Did I mention that it's Hot?

Did I mention that it's HUMID?

Did I mention that our air conditioner is on the FRITZ?

I have thought for several days now that our air conditioner wasn't keeping it real cool in here but at least a little air was coming out. So this morning when I discovered that it was cooler in the Florida room--which has no AC--than it was in the house, we thought it time to call an a.c. repairman. He said that the coils were frozen up and he couldn't do anything until they thawed so he will be back tomorrow. So, here we sit with fans going, windows open and sweat pouring!! Thank goodness we are going out to eat with our friends tonight so we will have air conditioning. We are going to a "Half Way to St. Patricks Day Party". Should be fun. Better than sitting in a HOT HOUSE!

Hot? whats that/?? lol. I remember Florida's heat..I feel for you...I was 8 when we moved down there and my first summer was spent in front of 3 fans..it wasn't fun. Enjoy your time out...1/2 way to St. Patrick's day, huh? I'll be looking forward to spring by then :-) probably still trying to dig out from all the snow..or thaw my toes from all the cold. *sigh* I'm so not ready for winter.

ACK! Florida's 'hotmidity' without A/C? Oh, I feel for you...

Hope that Mr. A/C Repairman shows up promptly tomorrow!

I bet your A/C unit is jealous that you were looking at other appliances:-)
This is the time of the year that window units go on sale - maybe you could pick-up a small one for the Florida room? I have done with A/C only twice in my FL life. Once when I was 17 and living in my first apt and the 2nd time when we were w/o power after hurricanes Jeanne and Frances. It is not very pleasant. It's a long drive, but you can sleep in my guest room. I will even loan you a kitty to keep you company.

Should I tell you about the bright clear skies and crisp mornings here in the midwest? I never had air in car or house until a few years ago (and don't know how I lived without it!) - but it's essential for you this time of year! I hope it's resolved soon!

I read your headline and thought oh no,why..because our AC is also about to break down, its always the coils getting frozen, I can get use to it but hearing our kids about how hot it is..well its worst then the heat..lol..hope it gets fix soon:)
