Aloha Friday-#1 for me

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that everyone takes it easy (kind of like it is here on Sanibel). I found this great meme on several blogs that I read and it looked like fun--so here goes. I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then when you've answered my question, go on over to An Island Life for other fun Aloha Friday questions and to play along!

So, my question for you is:

What are your plans for the weekend?

As for me, tomorrow I will spend about 6 hours working with patients in our local wildlife clinic. Then I will come home and crash with an adult beverage. Sunday, Mr. Snowbird and I will probably take a walk on the beach and then I will do some shelling. I love to shell! And, I'm sure I will spend a few hours working on the computer--reading blogs, doing genealogy, playing Mahjongg etc. Sound like fun?

My Mom is coming up from Florida tomorrow, so we'll be spending some time with her. But we'll also be looking for halloween costumes, as well.

If the weather was nice we wanted to head to Six Flags to use our new season passes for next year. Unfortunately that may not happen. Tomorrow I have a Pampered Chef party to go to in the afternoon and Sunday my son has Hebrew school. If things work out perhaps we will try to go to the apple orchard between things.

Have a great weekend.

I'm LDS (Mormon) and we have a General Conference twice a year. It happens to be this weekend, so I plan on being with my family, enjoying some spiritual messages from our church leaders and relaxing!

We might go back to the apple orchard we went to a few weeks ago to visit their amazing playground and "kitchen" which we didn't get around to last time. Also get my car inspection done... not as exciting but more important I suppose.

I will get up as early as a work day (yawn) and drive (2 hours) to Saginaw to play with my grandchildren, so that their mom and dad can get things done that are impossible during their work week. Sometime tomorrow evening, I will drive the 2 hours back, and take dr. cranky out to eat.

Sunday is church, McDonald's, and HOPEFULLY our last Open House. So I will also be cleaning on Saturday. Maybe we'll get to the beach while the Open House is going on!

Ohhh we go to McDonald's on open house days so that we don't cook. I am paranoid about any smells on my house on Open House days!

I need to do some computer work. I also need to recaulk my bathtub and I'm going to figure out if I should repaint my home myself or get someone else to do it. Either way - it will be a pain in the posterior.

I will plant the last varigated hibiscus in the back yard and move on to the boardwalk in the side yard. I will finish up Sunday by enjoying the fruits of my labor by sitting on my patio enjoying an adult beverage or two and finishing the novel I started to read on vacaion in August.
