Ruby Tuesday-Red Berries

I'm always on the lookout for something red now. When we were in San Diego in January, we visited the Marston Mansion. They have some beautiful gardens and even though it was winter, I found a tree with beautiful red berries on it. I don't know what kind of tree/bush it was but it sure was amazing.

OK, I know you are all busy checking out everyone's Ruby Tuesday but take the time to bookmark me and drop back to check out my blog. I am a retired Special Ed teacher who now spends most of her time on Sanibel Island, Florida which is a Sanctuary Island for wildlife. I volunteer for a wildlife hospital. I am also the proud grandma of 5 wonderful grandkids and brag about them often!! I also have a blog called Branches and Roots where I talk about genealogy and my ancestors. OK, enough about me. So if you really want to see red go to Work of the Poet

Lovely. Makes me miss So Cal! We moved to Oregon 13 years ago. Thrilled to be here, glad to be out of the rat race of Calif. But, then I see photos like yours that make me miss the beauty that Calif has to offer. Of course, Oregon has it's own beauty - and we're thankful for it. It's just different. Cheers!

I love the berry trees. As luck would have it they are probably inedible. Wouldn't it be great if they weren't? I'd love to have something like that growing in my yard, but until the fence is finished I give up. The moose ate all seven of my apple trees. Now I have to buy all new trees this spring. Arg!
