News and Good News

So, the Maytag Man was supposed to call us today. When he hadn't called by 11:00 I called the store. The lady at the store said she would call MM and have him call me. About a half hour later, I got the call. He said he would be here soon and sure enough he was. He was a bit "iffy" when he saw the age of the machine but he looked at it anyway. He found that the drain pipe which should be a fexible rubber was very rigid and had broken. The good news is he can order a new one and will replace it in a day or two. Yay! At least I don't have to haul my laundry to the laundromat before we head to Ireland next Monday!

The other good news is I think we have decided on a Real Estate agent. We had a visit with the ReMax Man last Friday. I was impressed with him from the gitgo. He seemed very interested, measured all the rooms, gave us a folder with his bio, neighborhood houses for sale etc. Yesterday the ERA guy came. He didn't measure anything but seemed interested only in the fact that we had termites 10 years ago and have been termite free since. I think he is a bit gunshy because he sold the house next door and now the buyer has discovered that termites have been busy in the house for quite awhile now and is suing somebody. He gave us nothing and we even had to ask him for a business card. ReMax has a resident auctioneer who can handle selling our household items. ERA guy knew next to nothing about auctions. Both are supposed to get back with us this week to tell us what they think we can get out of the house. As I said, even before they call back, I am going with the ReMax guy. I just feel that he will do a better job for us. We may have a sign in the lawn by the end of the week! Guess I had better get St. Joseph ready to be planted, huh.

Glad to hear it is an old hose and nothing major.

I like the sell-guy you are choosing. Sounds like he is in the business to make some money which in turn will make you money.

There is a slim to nothing chance that I might be able to go to a crawl in September. I'll let you know if the status upgrades to slight to slim.
