Awhile back, I found this great meme called Camera Critters. I love the pictures and decided that with my wealth of critter pictures down here in SW Florida, I would join in and I have for several weeks now. I would like to have you hop on over to Camera Critters. There you can either sign up for your own post for Camera Critters or see lots and lots of other great critter pics. So, now that you've done that--here is my critter for the day.
It is a very interesting fact that we have no squirrels on Sanibel. I know there are people who wholeheartedly dislike squirrels. I rather like them. In fact I have been a mother to many a baby squirrel at the wildlife hospital where I volunteer. How can you not look into that little face and smile? Awhile back I found the following picture online. I love this picture and it does show how a baby squirrel is fed. I did not take this picture! This is not me feeding a baby squirrel!!!
That being said--I did take the following pictures. These were taken at Corkscrew Swamp on two different occasions.

they look cute but we had one in the attic and it was a nightmare.
Oh that is so cheeky.
I'm glad that someone somewhere was able to get a baby squirrel to sign a release so we could see that adorable photo!
Great pics. My neighbor feeds them peanut butter and they flock to it.
Very cute! the last shot looks like he is exhausted and is having a break.. (PS: these could work well with captions. ) "Love Your Photo's" .. (:-)
Nice photos! I love squirrels.
Fun squirrel photos. You don't have any on your island? That's interesting, because I thought squirrels were everywhere.
I love squirrels too...did my weekly CC entry on them a couple of weeks back. Wonderful shots!
Your pics are fantastic, and I really ♥ that last one - it's adorable! I love taking photos of and watching the squirrels, they are so fun and full of personality!
Why are squirrels only vistors to the clinic and not island residents??
How cute!!
I've had the squirrels-in-the-attic experience - not pleasant, especially when they chew a hole through the ceiling... count me amongst the haters!

The second picture is just gorgeous, but that last one is too funny. He looks like he is relaxing, trailing his fingers in the water...
That baby squirrel is too cute! I see why you like doing that. :-)
Hi Nancy,
I see we have something else in common. I love animals; I have 2 cats right now, both of them were strays. They are inside cats now. I have been know to pick up strays, stop and feed animals I can't catch, feed racoons in our yard, until we had so many, that my sons trapped them and then relocated them... they are like me, they like animals too.
