We live in Periwinkle Park which is a combination of a campground and trailer park. Every year, the Park staff throws a big Mardi Gras Party. First there is a parade with lots of beads being thrown and then a huge cookout with burgers, dogs, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, beer, soft drinks and the most amazing desserts you could ever hope to see--and eat. Today was Mardi Gras Day and I took lots of pictures.
Our Park has both Americans and Canadians.
Even though it was sweatshirt and jacket weather, it was sunny and beautiful. A great time was had by all.

Wow, you all know how to have a good time. That looked like great fun!
You should have seen the face my son made when I told him you said it was "sweatshirt and jacket weather". That is funny! It's been about 27 at my house and I've been outside in a t-shirt! What a hoot. I wish my husband and I would ever get the opportunity to retire in a place like that, but we'll be lucky to live until the last child is graduated!!
I am so glad you are living there full time and having so much fun. I hope I get to visit you someday.
What a fun day!
And thanks for all the photos of the yummy food. I am totally drooling now! =)
What is the "49 ers" tag for the park mean?
Awesome! With all those folks, it is hard to believe there was anyone left to WATCH! When are YOU guys gonna be in the parade??
