Ok, so my neighbor, Marie, (you know--the one with the tomato plants in my yard) has a peach tree right next to my driveway which I have been coveting. But, I've been very good and haven't reached across and snatched any of the wonderful looking ripe peaches off of the tree everytime I walk by. A couple of times she has even mentioned that she has made cobbler and how good it was. Yesterday, while I was out working in back, she came over and said that she had put some peaches on my porch. And oh, did they look good!! So, I decided to make my own cobbler. And when was the last time I made cobbler??? Like never!!!
So, I got out my trusty Better Homes and Gardens cookbook--and when was the last time I used it??? Can't remember. Anyway, I had to go to the store and get some ingredients since I didn't have much in the way of baking stuff. So, first I cut up the peaches. It called for 4 cups. Boy, Marie must have known exactly how many peaches made up 4 cups because that is all I had.
It called for a square baking dish. Well all I had was a pan. Reminder: Get some baking dishes. Anyway, I followed the directions--well kind of. And then plopped them in my new Easy Bake Oven. I'm thinking I needed to get used to this oven before I took on a project like Peach Cobbler.
I began to smell a little bit of burning way before it was time for it to come out of the oven. So, the top part was too brown and the peach part was still pretty runny. But it smelled good. :)
And yeah, it tasted ok. But next time she gives me a bag of peaches (if she does) I think I will just eat them as is and not get quite so fancy.

They must have been VERY juicy! And yeah, those "Easy Bake" ovens are pesky and persnickety. They are really good for frozen waffles...

Awe, it really doesn't look bad to me! :)
Darn, I'm anonymous! :(
I wondered who Anonymous was. Thanks for identifying yourself Tootie. LOL
Bet if you added some vanilla ice cream and some whipped cream your recipe would be perfect. Betty Crocker is a tried and true source for good ol'American cooking.
