I live in a trailer park and the guy who owns the park has about 200 exotic birds, some of which he has on display--along with numerous lemurs. This is Scarlet and Rocco from a few years ago.
OK, I know you are all busy checking out everyone's Ruby Tuesday but take the time to bookmark me and drop back to check out my blog. I am a retired Special Ed teacher who now spends most of her time on Sanibel Island, Florida which is a Sanctuary Island for wildlife. I volunteer for a wildlife hospital. I am also the proud grandma of 5 wonderful grandkids and brag about them often!! I also have a blog called Branches and Roots where I talk about genealogy and my ancestors. OK, enough about me. So if you really want to see red go to Work of the Poet

Lucky you to be in a warm climate.....now those are some ruby reds! Luanne
Beautiful birdies!
Weird question, but does he have a huge van to transport all his critters if he ever needs to evacuate?
I love birds such as this, but 200?! Man, that is a lot of work. At one time I had seven lovebirds, a few parakeets, a dozen finches, a couple teils....then I found out Nick is allergic to feathers! Now I raise chickens to get my bird fix. I'd be down there trying to befriend that guy just so I could hold his birds! :) Perfect Ruby Tuesday.
Gayle shoulda been a zookeeper! :)
Yo Sno, you're not the one that lived so close to the birds, they woke you up every morning, are you?

A belated farewell to Pleasure Island
Mare, I don't know what he does with the birds during an evacuation.
Gayle, they have a "show" at the Park at 10:30 during season and you can hold the birds. So come on down.
Tink, no I don't live close to the birds thank goodness. I couldn't take that!
nice bird! love the vibrant red feathers
Beautiful RED parrot! My SIL is a retired special Ed principal. Thanks for participating in Ruby Tuesday! I really appreciate it!
