Wow!! My blog got an award! I am so new at blogging that this came as quite a surprise. I didn’t even know that there were blog awards. And who gave me this award? My beautiful daughter did! How sweet is that? I’m sure a lot of you who read my blog have jumped over and read hers too from time to time. And if you haven’t then do so now!! Or later!!
My beautiful daughter, Shama Lama Mama aka Karen, is a stay at home mom of 3 little guys. Noah is 5 and Ethan and Luka, the twins, are just two. She is married to Michael, the best son in law in the world who just happens to be a pretty darn good doctor too. I passed my love of theatre on to her and she worked as a Production Assistant and Stage Manager at South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa for several years before moving back to Ohio where Michael got his residency. She also graduated with a degree in photography and as you will see from the pictures on her blog, is pretty darn good!! I love her blog because it keeps me up on the antics of my far distant grandkids—and their parents. And thanks to her great photography, I get to see lots and lots of pictures of the kids.
Apparently when you win a blog award, you are supposed to pass it on. So, I thought, and I thought, and I thought—who do I give this to. Several blogs came to mind but I decided to bestow it on Gee at Shedding the Wolf. Or as I know her on a couple of message boards—Sandpail Gail. I’ve never met Gail but she and I share a love—Sanibel Island. She is also a grandma, just like me. And she is very interested in our environment and what she can do to help save it. I really enjoy her posts on her blog as she shares what she, in her own small way, is doing to save our earth. Way to go Gail.
So Gail, I realize that this might not have the same impact as finding a Junonia but I pass this esteemed award on to you. You are a treasure.
