Four Years Ago Today

This is what I looked like 4 years ago today. My daughter was about to deliver twins and I was the "official photographer". After it was decided that she wouldn't be having an emergency C Section, things loosened up a bit and I was allowed to shed the mask.

Ethan Caleb made his appearance first. I can't believe he was ever this little. The pacifier looks like it was made for a giant.Luka Benjamin apparently decided that he was enjoying all that space in there too much and wasn't born until about an hour and 10 minutes later. Since they were 6 weeks early, this is where they lived for two weeks before they were allowed to go home. It was pretty incredible the first time I got to hold both of them at once.It was amazing how much these two little guys grew that first year. Here they are Christmas Day just 5 days after their first birthday. Can you believe that when they were born we actually thought they might be identical!!! That's Ethan on the left and Luka on the right. Since they moved to San Diego, when they were 8 months old, we don't get to see them very often. This was taken when we visited them when they were a little over two. Both boys love the computer and fights have ensued when they both try to use it at the same time. But I bet if you asked Luka if he had to choose between the computer and Lambie--his choice would be Lambie!Since we were busy selling the house this summer, we didn't get a chance to go to San Diego so I haven't seen Ethan, Luka and their big brother Noah for a year now. I can't wait until we get to go see them in January. I know they have grown a LOT since I last saw them.

So guys, Beyuh would just like to wish you both a very Happy 4th Birthday. I wish I could be there to help you blow out your candles, although I'm sure you won't need any help. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you.

Grandkid's Halloween Costumes

I posted a picture of my grandson, Ethan, in his Halloween costume on Camera Critters. A friend asked what the other kids dressed as. Of course all of my pictures came to me by way of my daughter and son but I am going to post them here just the same.

This is my daughter's oldest, Noah in his Ghost Buster's outfit. He has become a Ghost Busters fan. None of his friends knew who or what he was but the adults got a kick out of it.

Ethan, the oldest of the twins, opted to be the cutest little puppy ever!

Luka, the youngest of the twins is REALLY into Thomas the Train. He went as Thomas' friend, James.

My son works for Progressive Insurance so obviously my granddaughter decided to go as Flo the Progressive Spokesperson.
Sam is apparently getting a bit too old for Trick or Treat so he just went out with his friends sans costume. So, sorry Sam, you don't get your picture here!!

But, even though I posted it before, I have to post this picture again. I just think it is so doggone (pun intended) cute!

Mellow Yellow-Bob the Rock Star Builder

Several blogs that I follow participate in Mellow Yellow every Monday so I thought I would give it a try.

My youngest grandson, Luka, loves to wear hats. He also loves to pretend he is playing guitar. And he loves his Lambie. So my Mellow Yellow today is my little lambie loving, guitar playing, hat wearing Bob the Rock Star Builder.

Our Twins Are Three

OK, could someone please explain to me how these two got to be three? They can't be more than a year old, can they?

I'm sure their mama would agree--or not!! But at their worst times now, I bet she misses the snuggles she got back then from Luka.

When did that tiny little thing in his mama's arms become this big guy still in his mama's arms?

And I'm sure their Daddy thinks back to those days when they were so tiny.

And wonders when they got this big!!

And I'm sure that big brother, Noah, never dreamed that Ethan, this tiny little bundle of joy

would become this big bundle of bruise!!

Trust me, there were times when we wanted to sell them.

But then the whole selling thing goes right out the window when you see this.

So Luka

And Ethan

Happy Birthday. But there is no way that you are three years old already. It must be your first!!
