Awhile back, I found this great meme called Camera Critters. I love the pictures and decided that with my wealth of critter pictures down here in SW Florida, I would join in and I have for several weeks now. I would like to have you hop on over to Camera Critters. There you can either sign up for your own post for Camera Critters or see lots and lots of other great critter pics. So, now that you've done that--here is my critter for the day.
I took the following picture of this Great Egret who was standing in the creek in front of my deck. It's hard to tell one egret from another one but we have one who hangs around here a lot who everyone in the neighborhood call Ralph. I thought the lighting around him was kind of neat. It's almost like he has an aura.

Beautiful. I love the way their feathers trail off so daintily at the ends. I have to go on hikes if I plan on seeing anything so beautiful as this. Once we did have a heron in our backyard. That really confused our dogs.
What a beautiful bird. It does appear he has an aura.
SB: He is so white that he almost completely took over the scene. Very nice.
Looks heaven sent!
I think egrets are among the most beautiful and unappreciated birds on the planet. Beautiful!

You're right. He seems to glow in the light.
This is really neat! The lighting around him makes him look heavenly! What a gorgeous bird and a great photo.
