OK, I'm not sure that internetus and interruptus are actual words but that's what happened yesterday. We were without internet all day yesterday and most of today. Mr. Snowbird was on the phone (thankfully we still had that) with an expert who talked him through several things to try and finally--thank you to the internet gods--it started working again. I had no idea how tied I was to the internet!! I am preparing for a garage sale and was using the internet to look up prices of items and suddenly it wasn't there for me to access. And of course, no email, no blog reading, no blog writing, no message board reading, no Second Life (blame my daughter for getting me involved in that world!), no up to date news, etc etc etc. Geez, I guess I will have to admit it--I'm an internet addict!!! In a couple of weeks, we are going to our friend's cottage in northern Michigan and guess what--no internet! OMG, 5 or 6 days of no internet. How will I survive? I guess I will find out. Anyway, back to my garage sale price searching. More later.

Ah...yes, you'll need to begin a 12-step program immediately ;).
You know, sooner or later, it'll occur to you that when you go away for that few days without internet, you could take a pen and paper...and well, I'm sure you can figure out the rest...
lol.
Isn't it amazing how dependent we all are now on our computers, cell phones, and such? I grab my laptop before I grab my coffee in the morning! This is another area to think about when we imagine a world where electricity no longer flows so freely because of reductions in our fuel sources . . . consider your trip to the UP practice!
Could you pick up one of those wifi cards from Sprint - they work like phone calling cards? You have a laptop, get one of those cards and you will be set.
